About
TECHO is an organization comprised of young volunteers who work with residents of informal settlements in Latin America. Through their joint action, they strive to overcome the poverty situation of millions of people.
As a large international organization, they needed internal communication and administration between countries to flow as optimally as possible.
Challenge
With over 20 years of building a just and poverty-free society, TECHO International found itself limited in several aspects by its previous website, leading them to decide to reinvent themselves to set a clear path that reflects the actions they are involved in.
Considering they are present in 18 countries, this work required close collaboration between both parties, with good communication flow and a lot of coordination.
Technology and process
Design
As for the design process, we use Figma, a tool which allows our team to work collaboratively with our clients by offering an interactive, detailed and real-time view of the design progress.
Development
For the development of this website, WordPress was used with the Elementor plugin, allowing our clients to manage and customize their pages without needing advanced technical knowledge.
WordPress multisite
For this particular case, due to the complexity of the website, WordPress Multisite was chosen to facilitate the administration of all the local TECHO websites in the 18 countries where they are present.
Elementor
Elementor offers the ability to independently customize desktop, tablet, and mobile versions, making the website fully adaptable to all devices. It also provides the versatility to create templates and write custom code.
SEO
For all our projects we take into account search engine optimization (SEO), security, performance and loading speed of the web for an optimal user experience
The result
Impact
Through storytelling with a clear and compelling message, we were also able to better illustrate TECHO’s global impact, alongside a design and functionalities that enhance the strength and credibility of what they represent.
